I personally think it is a good move and other folk must be thinking along those lines as there has not been any trouble like Manchester United had when the Americans took over their Club. I for one am glad it has all gone smoothly for Liverpool F.C. Lets get back to the TOP.

Rafa has us heading in the right direction anyway, it'll be interesting to see if Rafa does the same as Mourinho or Ferguson.
Everybody is pointing the finger at Chelsea these days for being able to buy anybody they want. But people forget that United did exactly the same, it's just Chelsea got instant success out of it and United didn't.
To give you some idea, in 1990 Michael Knighton was going to buy Man United for £20 million. Around the same time, Alex Ferguson spent about £15 million on several new players, which at the time was a hell of a lot of money to spend, and is comparable with what Mourinho has done at Chelsea.
But because it took them at United a few years to gel properly, the money factor wasn't as apparent as it is now at Chelsea, because Chelsea got instant success.
Unfortunately money has spoiled the game, but if you want to compete at the top level these days, then money does help.
But it's going to put an even bigger gap than there already is between the top clubs and the rest, which is not good for the game.

Ooooooh yeah! This is something Liverpool FC desperately needed for about half a decade or so, so this deal couldn't have come at a better time and opportunity. The new stadium design looks nice (but personally I think is should be at least 65 500, no less than that capacity), and hope that Rafa continues on as coach for a long time - hopefully he'll be able to mold the squad into something special - but he needs 2 top-tier forwards to complete that at first.

Its a good move because if Liverpool fc stayed as they were, they would not be able to compete for the big named players and fans would not get a new stadium which is long over due.I hope these american tycoons dont take David moores for granted he was Liverpool fc full stop

i was really more on for the dic move. the american takeover will be good in the short term but i'm not so sure for the medium to long term. the best thing is getting the £80 mill debt paid off and a brand spanking new stanley park built which greatfully we wont have to share with the biggest club in the world (everton lol)
the transfer fund is great as well but i hope rafa aims for a few of the top class british players but i think he'll stick to what he knows (spanish).
dic wouldnt have had as much of a hands on approach as the americans will want and i'm a bit frightened as to what this will mean for the fans. i'd imagine ticket prices will start to rise slowly every season pricing the real fans out of attending games.
i'm now also going to have to take all the stick i gave my manure supporting mates back after glazier's takeover in spades!!

The Dubai company would have been better as they were gonna give a lot more money for the club. However, this is still a good move. Their hearts seem to be there for the club's success. Tom Hicks said lifting the Stanley cup gave him more satisfaction than anything - in other words he wants success.
Remember we don't need Roman's billions. We need two things. One - investment for a new stadium. Two - we need more money for new players (not an unlimited amount).

The time is coming for a European Super League with all this money belonging to a handful of clubs within each league.
I feel sorry for the small teams but thats how business goes.
Liverpool, Man Utd & Chelsea will be buying the big names while the others will be buying from lower leagues.

It's a hell of a lot better than them being taken over by a bunch of 'muslim arabs'!! I was beginning to think it was the end of Liverpool F.C as we know it last week!!!........but at least common sense has prevailed!....this move can only help British football! Good luck to the team.
