Yes, my mother got kicked out of her family at 14 years old cause she would'nt have an abortion, she left so I could live.
And I shunned the thought of her from 8 years old when I found that I was adopted. I learned to hate at an early age due to abandonment issues and became a violent pre teen and teenager. I would assault any kid in school who tried to pick on me by thinking of my mother. At 16 years of age I met her against my will and after hearing the agony she felt leaving me for my own good and the hell she went through to discover that what she thought was the right thing to do had turned out this way I started to revert my thoughts back from violence because I myself was a result of it. My mother was raped at 14 and her best friend took the blame for it. He was totally innocent but admitted guilt in the hope that her family would not disown her. He commited suicide after I was born when he was forced to abandon my mother and me, my mother dissapeared and I was adopted. Just remember that sometimes people do have good reason to do what we think is not right, but they may never find the courage to tell us why it had to be so.
I hope this helps.

My Mother left a family of 7 kids back in 1967. Yes, I've forgiven her; I have not forgotten.

I doubt it...it would depend on lots of things...did she communicate with me first, what was her reason for leaving me behind, is she truly sorry, did she ask my forgiveness or just blowing my feelings off? I would have to think long and hard if she is someone I need in my life..if I decide she is , then we would need to go to therapy together..

I know it's tough but if you don't forgive her then you may end up feeling bad about you decision. That is a tough situation but don't let her cold heart detract from your loving one.

no your mum was a sexist creep. Even if the place she was going to only had 2 slots, you and your bro should go. No maternal instinct there. And good job surviving alone, tell me how you did it plz!

It would be hard, but you should try because the hurt will tear you up inside if you don't deal with it. I would embrace my brother, though.
