Yes this could be a sign of ovulation. It can also be a sign of other things too. Good luck!

The slight abdominal pain is most likely the feeling of ovulation. Some women get it, some women do not.
Feeling ill won't really affect your fertility.
If you are trying to conceive and you are ovulating, you have really missed your best time to conceive already, since the sperm is supposed to be in place when the egg is released. You still have a chance if you have intercourse right away, and limit yourself to once a day. Rest in bed with a pillow under your hips for about a half hour after intercourse.
Good luck, and by the way, you might try the trying to conceive section next time, since this is really a question about that!

You are likely to be ovulating. Feeling poorly could be a sign of stress caused by your anxiety to conceive. Relax!! Take a deep breath, listen to soothing music, watch comedy shows, etc. But most importantly, have sex at least on alternate days. That would increase your chance of pregnancy. Don't forget, the male sperm dies within the same day while the female sperm can stay alive for 3 days. Have faith and confidence in yourself that you can do it. I tried for 14 years and I never give up. Now I have two lovely children. It's all worth the effort. Remember to ask your husband to help elevate your legs immediately after sex so that the sperms can swim faster and easier to meet the egg. Good luck!!

Ok....first of all you being sick should have no effect. I was so sick when I got pregnant with my daughter, but I had just miscarried and didn't want to wait another month to get pregnant.
How to tell if you ovulated.....
1. The pain is a good sign
2. You should be having some clear discharge the consistency of egg whites. (this happens just before you ovulate, for me this lasts about 3 days)
3. The discharge suddenly stops. This is when you have ovulated. Time to have sex.
Good luck!!!!!

I get pain during ovulation too - I think this is what you have. Buy a digital thermometer and start taking your temperature daily. Note it and when it rises by 1-2 degrees this is ovulation and is when you are most likely to conceive. Most importantly eat a healthy diet and don't worry. It took us three years to get pregnant with our first child following a miscarriage, and now we have three!!! Best of luck! Look after your partner too, his diet needs to be tip-top and he shouldn't be getting stressed.

WELL, IF THERE IS ANY ILLNESS IN YOUR SYSTEM CONCEIVING MAY BE A BIT DIFFICULT, YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM IS TRYING TO FLUSH OUT THE ILLNESS AND MAY NOT LET YOU CONCEIVE THIS MONTH. THE PAIN YOU HAVE HAD MAY BE WHAT IS CALLED (PLEASE DONT MIND MY SPELLING) -- MITTELSCHMIRTZ IT IS WHEN A WOMAN CAL FEEL HER EGG BEING RELEASED WHICH IS DEFINITELY A SIGN THAT YOU ARE OVULATING. GOOD LUCK!!

Have sex continuously for the next 2 weeks. Prop your hips up and elevate your legs immediately after sex to help the sperm travel to the eggs.
