Night At The Museum - bloke next to me keeps getting calls on his mobile, either letting it ring for ages or chatting (he never turned it off) and his girlfriend telling him to shut up/switch off.

Equally annoying: You're at a gig you've been waiting to go to for ages and the people next to you are singing along so you can't hear anything/snogging and then telling you to sit down so they can have some peace (why do these people bother coming?)/blatantly pushing in front even though they are 6'5".

Ok, rant over!

I'd been to see a movie (forget which). Anyway at that time all the teachers were on strike and the theater was full of college students. They were showing the trailer of Jaws. And the kids were screaming at the back. Then in the beach scene a lady points at the shark and screams and a guy at the back goes, 'sh*t, that's my aunt man'.
There were some older guys in front who came up and started threatening them. And a girl went, 'hit him, hit him'.
After the interval, the movie resumed by the overhead lights were still on and everyone started chanting, 'turn off the effing lights, yay, turn off the effing lights, yay', till the lights went out.

Any movie audience that includes people who bring their infants or toddlers to an adult movie, and the kids won't shut the **** up. Find a babysitter or wait for the DVD!!! People who talk all the way through the movie... What's the point of going to a movie if you're gonna flap your gums the entire time. When the lights go off, it's time to shut your friggin mouth. I didn't spend my money on a movie to hear you yakking the whole time.

My fiance and I went to see the omen when it first came out about 4 months ago, it was horrible, the theatre was full, everybody was talking screaming yelling cell phones were ringing, if the movie wouldn't have cost us 20 dollars we would have got up and walked out of the theatre

I saw Phantom of the Opera (with Gerard Butler as the Phantom), and someone was pretending to snore, almost through the entire movie. I mean, if he doesn't like it, why not just walk out? Why did he get in, in the first place? To top it off, his companions found it funny and were giggling almost throughout, too. I wanted to splash coke on them.

Years ago when I went to see Interview With the Vampire two women behind me had brought a paper sack from a grocery store full of food and it kept rattling during the whole movie when they kept getting stuff out of it.Not to mention they brought their 2 or 3 year old that kept crying because they were scared.I had wanted to see that movie forever and they ruined my whole time.

My boyfriend and I went out to see Superman Returns when it was in theaters. It was just after it was released so the theater was pretty full. We got there early and found some good seats and sat watching the movie trivia before the previews. The seats behind us contained three young boys about the ages 10-12. They were being rather loud but I didn't mind because the movie wasn't on yet. Then I heard one of the boys telling his friends "you know what I like to do when the movie's playing? I like to throw popcorn at people!". Both me and my boyfriend heard this at the same time and exchanged glances. I told him if they threw popcorn at me I would turn around and lose my temper (I have no patience whatsoever). When the previews came on I saw quite a few popcorn kernels fly over my head and hit the people a few rows below us. As long as they weren't hitting me I was fine but my nerves were being worked. About thirty minutes into the movie, the boys' whole bucket of popcorn spilled onto the floor. Not only were they giggling loudly and uncontrollably about it, but they then began jumping and stomping on the pile and crushing it into the floor! After about five minutes they got bored and began watching the movie again. During one of the main parts of the movie that leaves you hanging at the edge of your seat wanting to see what happens next, one of the boys told his friends exactly what the next scene would contain. He'd already seen the movie and was telling them what was going to happen! And the kid couldn't whisper so practically the whole theater heard the boy's summary. By the end of the two and a half hour movie, I had to answer nature's call but I told my boyfriend to be on the lookout for the boys and their parents. When I came out of the restroom, he pointed to a group containing a married couple and the three boys. I walked up to the group and asked to speak to the adults. I told them I couldn't enjoy the movie because their three brats were being very loud all through it and asked them to please teach their kids manners and respect for others. I also told them I wanted my fifteen dollars back (from them, not the theater) and told them they had the boys to thank for that. They apologized a million times over and gave us a twenty.
It didn't end there. When my boyfriend and I got out to my truck, a huge Excersion was parked three inches away from my passenger side door. Needless to say, they now have a few dents and key scratches going down the side of their SUV.

The worst for me was when I saw Air Force One. This woman spoke LOUDLY to the screen and her husband, alternately. I hate people like that.
