Hi, I have a newsletter which is currently four pages of A4, which I would like to reduce into 4 pages of A5 so it can be on a single sheet of A4. Could anyone help me do this please? As I have had no computer training at all it will need to be in simple terms. It is currently in Powerpoint, but I could use Word.

Thank you.
Nneave.

You really need to use Microsoft Publisher to do this as that hasd all sorts of templates, otherwise you;d have to turn the page in Word to landscape and click on columns to get two columns and that may work, otherwise Publisher

Well its very simple.

Do it in word.

1. Switch to print layout view.

2. On the Format drop down menu, click Columns.

3. Select how many columns you want(in this case two)

4. Select the Line between check box if you want a line to separate them.

You can also increasde the margins if the page is a tad too small. do this by click and hold the margin markers in the corners and move them.

Then you can paste and copy your information to Word, you might need to change the fonts and re-set tabs because power point works slightly different to word.

If your still having problems then email me the file and i'll change it for you!

Hope this helps :-)

If you are using word.
Goto File->Print
In properties select landscape (Not sure you have to do this step.
Select OK
Select 2 pages for the pages per sheet option.
In Pages put 4,1
Print these then turn the paper around and put 2,3 in Pages.

Repeat or specify number of copies for each set of 2 pages.

If it is not word then let us know what program you are using.

You can set the word document into landscape, fix margins. Then insert a table of two columns and put the information in. It will come up on two pages which you can later on print or copy back to back.
I think that's the easiest way to do it for beginners, especially if you have some background about word.

4 pages of A5 would be 1 page of A3 not one page of A4. Sorry!
However, To turn A4 to A5 easiest thing to do is on a photocopier (a4 to A5 setting) you can then stick each A5 page onto one A3. Then to make it into A4 reduce the A3 to A4 size on the photocopier again. No computer needed at all!

In Powerpoint click on FILE > PRINT

The PRINT diaglogue box appears.

Under the PRINT WHAT section of this window select
HANDOUTS from the drop down combo box.
Then select 2 from the SLIDES PER PAGE drop down.

Hopegully this will produce what you need.

Good luck.
