It is very much possible for you to get pregnant, because for one to get pregnant their ovary is supposed to be fertilised during the ovulation period. It will be difficult for you to know when you will ovulate because you dont have a regular flow, but just keep trying you never what might happen and another thing, l think you need to see a doctor because you might have fibroids since you mentioned that you had a period that lasted for 2 and a half months.

My periods where always irregular before i had my first baby. They would come every other month since the first time i ever started.
My husband and i got pregnant right off, once we actually started trying. We had sex for 2yrs and not always using a form of birth control like condoms etc... but once we actually started trying it was pretty easy, only took a month.
Your periods are very irregular so it may be different? But, I'm sure you can still get pregnant and it may be easier than you think.

Yes it is possible... I haven't had a period since Sept 6, 06 and found out in January that I was pregnant.. Going by my last period, the doctors said my due date was June 13, 2007. After an ultrasound yesterday, I found out that I'm not due in June, but due August 13, 2007... A whole two months difference.. My fiance and I are both excited and so is my son since the due date is 5 days before his birthday.

It certainly is. I have a 2 month old daughter who was born December 14th. I hadn't had my period at all for a year and a half before that. I was told by my doctor that I would need fertility drugs when I decided to have kids but here I am with a beautiful little girl.

of course that's conceivable!! You DO understand what's rather taking place throughout Menstruation, do not you? Menstruation is the perspective of dropping an _un_fertilized egg. in case you went off the pill, permit's only say, you desire your era is maximum sensible 'late'! If that egg grew to become into as quickly as fertilized, i could recommend finding out to purchase a test kit, simply by undeniable fact that opportunities are there'll probable be no era this month, different than the embryo is lost ahead. if so, it would desire to be a heavier than undemanding decide on the flow even nevertheless not a steady consistent with month era. Fathers understand better than you're able to opt to furnish us credit for. :) :))

I would suggest first of all getting the book, "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It's a great read and tells you all about the ins and outs of your cycle, even if it's irregular and how to recognize the best chances of conceiving whether your cycles or irregular or regular. It also tells you how to recognize things that may prevent you from conceiving, and it's all in terms that are easy to understand. You can usually find it on half.com or amazon.com for cheap!

After reading the book, I would talk to your OB/GYN to let them know you're planning to try, see what they suggest to get your body "primed" for the event.

Good luck!
