If it's in quarantine it is safe, athough you can delete it from quarantine to completely remove it from your computer. To protect youself a bit more, get a good firewall.

(1) Get you self a good antivirus or a free one .
(2) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
3) Install a firewall

The browser FirefoxMozilla will not support ActiveX, Internet Explorer supports ActiveX and that is an active exchange between computers . So Firefox is safe in regards to your Trogan or any trogan for that matter. Even if they are in the computer, they are inactive with Firefox browser.
View your ActiveX setting yourself. Go to Tools, InternetOptions, then Security then CustomSettings.
If you choose, Disable on ActiveX no virus or worm or trogan can operate with an outside computer even if its in your computer.

Use this link to download and install Avast Home's latest version of antivirus. It will find the backdoor trojan and notify you so you can delete and remove it. I've used Avast successfully for over 3 years and wouldn't operate my computer without it.

First of all do a full online scan of your computer. Then download trojan remover from www.softpedia.com. Install it on your computer to avoid trojan entrance into your PC. Also try to install a best antivirus software into your computer. I would prefer Kaspersky Antivirus.
