Perhaps you're not as far along as you think you are. A week makes a huge difference in what they can see so hopefully you'll get visual confirmation in a week or so. The earliest I saw a pic of mine was at 8 weeks and they really had to look for her. (I was spotting) They sent me home to bed, I came back in a week to see if she had grown, she had, I had quit spotting and now she's 6.5 years old. So don't freak out yet, things may still be fine.

IF they have done a blood pregnancy test ask for the number of your HcG hormone level.
This is the hormone that tells them you're pregnant. If this number is below about 1000, it would be difficult to impossible to find anything on ultrasound yet, it's too early. If it's higher than that, they should be able to see it. Sometimes it may need to get around 1600 depending on the equipment they are using.
The HcG hormones should double about once every 48 hours, so the numbers increase fairly quick. 2-4-8-16-32-64-128-etc. So if they can't see anything just yet, give it a week and try again. In the meantime, try not to worry. You're probably just very early!

Congratulations on ur pregnancy. Mine was the same case as yours. I was 2 weeks pregnant, test confirmed pregnancy, I was spotting and they didnt see a thing during the scan. Just a ruptured looking white sac. Went to 3 specialist. The first told me to get a D&C done immediately as the white sac looked ruptured and i was bleeding a lot,. the 2nd told me to get another opinion, The 3rd, sent me home for full bed rest for 2 weeks and re-scan. Went back after 2 weeks and still nothing. Doc sent me home to rest and make me come back for another two weeks. When we came back, we saw it and the rest is history. Just gave birth to a baby son. Yippee.. So relax and dont carry anything heavy. Have a good rest and eat plenty of healthy food. Remember, ur mood in your pregnancy affects the baby's mood too. U dont want a cranky baby..

You may be very early pregnant. They won't be able to see the baby and yolk sac until after 6 weeks gestation. Even then it'll be very small on the scan. Just calm down. Take care of your self because you're in a very vulnerable state for the next 12-18 weeks. Congratulations!

you didnt say how far along you are so i dont if you had the scan too early. I think the earliest you can see anything (a mass/blob) is about 6-8 weeks. at 10 weeks you can actually see something like looks more like a body..
if you are not bleeding, and you still have the syptoms, then i suggest you dont worry about it.. go back for another scan in a week or so...
All the best

From what you said, it doesn't sound wrong either....you just have to wait a bit longer to be sure of what is going on.
