It depends on the time of the month. It sounds like the ceremony is simple but elegant. So wear a spaghetti strap dress (if the weather permits this) a sweater along just in case of a chill. You can dress something plain up or keep it simple.
It is in a park, so I wouldn't suggeast wearing stilletos, you will be getting stuck in the ground constantly!

Talk to others who are going. In my experience most weddings have the same amount of formality even if they are outdoor in the park.

ask yuor friend on the theme she would be having on her wedding day. since its in a park, i imagine it would be anything but formal. to play it safe, ask the other people who are going but do not try to copy what they are wearing, too. though it is not too formal, you dont want your outfit for a wedding to look like what you would wear to a baseball game. maybe a flowy top will do paired with a skirt and a nice sandal. but for the best, take what you feel like wearing and ask your friend what she thinks of it opersonally. i mean it is HER wedding, you know.

If it is nice and sunny, i would wear a gypsy skirt and a strapy top and a pair of high heels. But if it is cold and looks like it is going to rain, i would wear a pair of black trousers, a plain white t-shirt and a jacket over the top and then a pair of boots.

The best bet would be to ask the bride how formal or informal it will be, that way you know what your options are. Have a great time, weddings are such fun events!

Ask your friend what would be best. Don't wear white or off white.. Wear colors that compliment the wedding would be nice.
Best is to ask the Bride or Brides family....

A somewhat casual springtime dress with a wedge heel shoe would be appropriate.

i would suggest that definitely wear a skirty outfit, no need to make it so formal, try to wear fresh colored clothes like printed ruffled skirt with white semi-formal blouse. Blow-dry your hair and very natural looking make-up, it will compliment your looks too. (I once saw it in a movie, Gwyneth looks really pretty and fresh).

maybe a pants suit
or just a nice long dress that is not to formal and make you look nice but not overpowering to take away from the bride
