My neice is nearly 9mths old now and has no teeth at all although for the last 6-8 weeks she has been showing signs of teething (red chops, runny nose etc) when did your babies start to get their first teeth, is 9mths a little too late?

I've seen a lot of 1 year olds who don't have any tooth yet! Its nothing to worry about. The teeth will come out in their own time. My daughter was an early teether - she had four by 7 months..She is 13 months now and still not walking

Babies grow at diff rates. Pls dont worry about this. give some tylenol for the fever (or whatever your doc prescribes)

This is one of those every baby is different questions. My daughter got her first two teeth at 4 months. She's nine months and is working on 7 & 8. My friends baby is a month older than Marie and she doesn't have the first tooth yet.

Hi there,

Teeth appear when they are ready to appear and there's nothing we can do to speed them up. Some kids are earlier than others. Our son is 4 months old and has been showing the signs of teething for 2 months so far but no teeth.

Just hand in there, keep her going and they'll come when they are ready.

All the best

Jason

my son was 7 months old when he got his first tooth and they they kept coming. i watch a little girl who is 12 moths old and just got 2 teeth on the bottom. so no 9 months is not too late. it all depends on the baby.

My daughter got her first tooth at nearly a year. She was talking a little before that. All babies develop differently depending on their genes. It is not a competition.
