Why don't you invest your money, or start a business of some sort, instead of working in a cubicle or a crappy office. With a boss who needs to be beaten the crap out of?

I don't work one of those type jobs. They are a million reasons why people aren't wealthy. First off it takes money to invest and or start a business, and a lot middle america can't do either as it would put them in finacial ruin. How can you invest money when minmum wage is 5.15 an hour. Thats 1 hour of work to buy 1 gallon of milk, 1 hour to buy maybe 2 gallons of gas, maybe 2 lbs of hamburger. Not to mention housings costs, and the millions of Americans without health insurance and the cost of Healthcare.
With all this combined is it really any wonder that 1/2 of America is middle class or below..not to mention the debt, most people are in.
With prices of living where they are at, and the wages that are paid, 9/10ths of the people I know can barely make ends meet, and any money left over gets them just enough ahead to stay afloat in this country.

I have my own business and believe me, some of those dorks in cubes are making a lot more money than I am. I have investments. Please remember the stock market is a gamble and not a guarantee. A dork who sits in a cubicle is probably earning toward a pension, gets paid sick days and vacation, none of which I get. I have freedom and that's about it and not much freedom but what I do have is a lovely fantastic boss, ME.

Have nothing to invest, and their salaries go into the food, housing and so on, that is why. If they stop working, they will be in the streets, begging.
They can't take a loan because no one will give it to them. So, they work in a cubicle.

Great question. I guess some people sell themselves short or like the security of a regular job instead of the unknowns of going "out on your own".

because I haven't a clue as to how to get there, I don't earn enough money at my current job to move forward to doing what I wish to be doing most, or save any money for that matter
