The earthworm would probably die. the itistitial fluid would leak out, and many solutes and ions would leak out into the water. Meanwhile, water would pour into the earthworm, causing it to swell. The earthworm would eventually die because it would be unable to have osmoregulation.

If it doesn't die from stress first:
Its body contents may diffuse out and it'll lose a significant amount of its minerals and nutrients to the water. Earthworm skin is slightly permeable...
