it is never right...
just don't do it again...
and find ways to face it and tell the truth...
be responsible for it...
accept what will happen with dignity and humbleness...

You need to be a lot more specific here. What kind of mistakes are you refering to? And are you making a lot of mistakes?? Are you repeating the same mistakes???

don't say things like "it wasn't my fault" or "it only happen because..." saying stuff like this will only make you look worse. figure out why exactly it is a mistake, try not to do it twice. most bosses understand you are human and mistakes will happen. trying to defend them will make you look irresponsible.

it is a mistakes, something that happens that is beyond your control not unless you did it intentionally and with malice then you really don't have to defend it, its there obviously and what you can do is just accept it, prevent it from happening again, learn from it and forget about it.
