In a role reversal marriage where the wife is the breadwinner and the husband is the homemaker why is it the wife is usually depicted in a short skirt power suit while the husband is depicted in the apron? In traditional arrangements, we often don't see wives in aprons and a lot of times the husband is dressed more casual....

Traditionally, when a woman was depicted as a homemaker doing housework ,cooking etc. she was always shown wearing an apron. Now with gender bending, to show a man as a "househusband" the easiest way to get the message across is to depict him wearing an apron. If he is shown wearing a frilly feminine one it accentuates his acceptance of his new "homemaker" role.

Thank the Feminist movement for that. They have nothing better to do than belittle men and it's sad and disgusting really. But I am going to guess most of your answers are going to come from selfish, and rude Feminazi's that will tell you that's how it should be. They are full of crap and should be at home with their kids instead of having someone else raise them. Wonderful world isn't it?
