if your having trouble comprehending read national geographic or new york times
if you dont understand the vocab, write down the words you dont know and look them up later
slow down and read the minute details, because they do make an impact on the story
if your taking a test, say the SAT's, read the explanations for any mistakes
basically, read more and you will comprehend more
at worst, get a tutor
