Lust is an emotion. Powerful but oftentimes fleeting. While it can be the catalyst to love, it is by no means a prerequisite. To equate Love to lust is an unfair assumption which undermines the beauty and relevance of Love.
Lust is an unnecessary bonus. Nothing at all like the real thing.

Neither - lust is an instinctive reaction to chemical changes in the body. With men, it's a perennial thing - the buck must be ready when a doe is in season, to propagate the species. With women, it shows that she's in season. Lust usually lasts until the orgasm is over, but may continue for several more. But we're all different . . .
Love, on the other hand, is much deeper, and independent of lust. Together, they're real fun!

Lust is an integral part of love, to make love really meaningful, to make love more strong. But it should be only a small percentage of the total package. If it is too high, it makes love (which is sacred) profane.

Lust doesn't have anything to do with love in my world but I must learn to try and combine the two.
