Tulips! They are beautiful, fragrant, and a step away from the ordinary rose bouquet. She'll love them!

Whatever you do, do NOT get her Carnations. Regardless of how many beautiful color variations there may be, it's the number one flower that screams "CHEAP!" Now, with that being said, Valentine's Day should not be about how much money you pour into it but rather how much love you pour into the day. Now also keep in mind, that if she happens to love Carnations (it's my sister's favorite kind of flower), then it would be more than acceptable to give them to her.

Roses are far too cliche and even though they seem to be a staple of romance, they're just far too overused.

In my honest opinion, Lilies and Tulips are a sure thing. They're simple and beautiful. If you're wanting a flower that lasts for a very long time (compared to almost any other kind of flower you'd give her) then I highly suggest Gerber Daisies! There are so many colors to choose from, not to mention there are soft colors, muted colors and eye-popping bright colors. The combinations are endless!

It all boils down to her and her personality. If all else, you could be a bit sneaky and go to a popular flower site such as 1-800 FLOWERS and ask her to help you pick out flowers for your "mom" and see what she picks. Chances are, she'll lean more towards what she likes.

I've included links to pictures of each kind of flower I mentioned. In order of links the flowers are: Lily, Tulip, Gerber Daisy

If she has a favorite color, try and get her the flowers in that color, or even better, a variety of shades of that one color! With Lilies, Tulips and Gerber Daisies, there is a variety of colors, so have fun when getting them; they don't always have to be red or pink flowers!

Most women like roses, but personally I think they are too pricey and find that they wilt after a few days.
I like a bouquet of fresh natural flowers in pinks, white and red with baby's breath - they last much longer. I even like red tulips that you can plant and have them come up every year. I am just a practical person and hate to spend $ in wasteful ways..

Roses are via some distance the superb for Valentines day. the colour relies upon on the form you experience with reference to the guy. pink roses propose love and are the main romantic. Yellow roses propose friendship. White roses are a mix of friendship and new beginnings. It additionally relies upon if she has a wide-unfold shade of roses. in case you bypass with a $19.ninety 9 bouquet on line you will maximum in all probability get her the flora in a cardboard container extra via UPS. IE: no longer romantic. in case you bypass with a community florist than you will get them hand extra and that they are in many cases larger high quality than the enormous company on line florists.

Well, roses are a bit cliche. My husband gave me a huge bunch of beautiful tulips one year, with a scented flower mixed in- I think it was freesia. It was gorgeous - I was *very* impressed! :)
Good Luck!

A rose tree that can be planted outside in the spring would be a good idea, that way it will last forever.
