I've noticed a big difference in how diapers work between having my 2 kiddos, a girl and a boy. With my daughter, I could use anything on her but with my son, Pampers period!!! He will leak through any other brand be it Huggies or generic. When he starts waking up in the mornings and he has leaked through, I put a size bigger on him at night right before bed and that solves the problem for me. I make sure he is dry or hardly wet when I put him to bed too at night. It may seem like a pain to have 2 different size diapers on hand but it beats a soaked baby and bed every morning!! If the size bigger seems to fit your baby ok at night then consider using that size during the day too when you run out of the smaller size. I've also heard of putting a thick maxi pad in the diaper at night too to help absorb it all but I've never tried that trick!!

First make sure the babies diaper fits and is put on snugly, Second make sure that you get a good brand you know is going to last a long time I find huggies and pampers to be the best I find that Luvs does not work nearly as good. Third at 4 months your baby may not be ready to go the entire night without a change I would suggest changing him when you put him down for the night. then if you go to bed later I would change him again right before you go to bed. then just check on him first thing when you wake up. Don't worry this doesn't last too long before you know it he'll be potty trained and all you will have to worry about is the occasional accidents

It depends upon whether or not you are using clother or disposable.
For the disposable use the nighttime version as the padding in thicker.
For the cloth what I would do is put two diapers together, take a third, fold that in thirds, lay it across the center and really double up on the baby powder and desitin for that extra protection no matter which diaper I was using.

Try moving up to the next diaper size. This always worked for my son when he started leaking over night.

Are you giving him a bottle in his bed? If so, stop. Even if it is water. Are you changing him just before bed, if not do so. Also, do not use generic diapers...they are horrible. Use a brand name that has a reputation for holding in what needs to be held in. Are you putting the diaper on snug enough..if not do so. Good luck!

I used to love pampers baby dry, but as my daughter started sleeping through the night she would start peeing through her diaper. It was leaking every night. We switched to huggies supreme. I love them. They fit better and are much more absorbent.

luvs have the best leakage protection and with those put a diaper cover over it. also try to do the last feeding an hour before bed so they will go in their diaper, then you change him and he won't leak

Huggies Supreme or baby shaped fit work really well. Personally I do not like Pampers OR Luvs...have had bad experiences with those. They loosen up too much at the waist, especially overnight.
Also, be sure they're not too small/the correct size for him.

If this is your fist boy, always remember when putting on the diaper to point his thing down. If it is pointed up or to the side the wetness is not absorbed correctly.
