I have had my period for more than 60 days now. There are times throughout the day that it slows to a minimal bleeding but by the end of the day it always starts right back up. I went to planned parenthood and was refered to an OBGYN but while I was there I was made fun of by the nurses and told I was not normal and had to be lying because if I was bleeding for 60 days I would be dead. I just want to know what is wrong and hopefully see that I am not alone and though it is rare for this to happen I am not the only one. Someone please tell me I am not alone in this situation and there is light at the end of this horrible tunnel.

Umm, if they made fun of you, I would go see another OB/GYN, because you've obviously got a serious illness down there to cause that kind of prolonged bleeding.

I had one last over 30 days because of the birth control I started. You should go to doctor. Planned parenthood places are nurse practioners and don't specialize in disorders. If by chance you are taking a birth control pill, you should stop taking it. Also take some iron supplements so you don't become anemic.

I bled from September to January. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I am now on a bcp and will start taking another medication soon.
You are probably anemic now because of all of your bleeding and should talk to your doctor about taking an iron pill.
You really need to talk to your Gyno.

I am sorry that the nurses at the doctor's treated you in that way. That is very unprofessional of them. I strongly advise you to see another doctor. It is not normal to have a period that lasts for 60 days. Hope this helps.

Alot of women have this after having babies, but it seems u need to be on vitamin K.
U need to go see a better mature doc.
And them nurses should not laugh, they are very immature.
