and also...why we put Prokinase - K after putting the sample in the tube?After putting Pro-K , we will put the tube in the water bath around 60 degree celcius...and why we have to do that?is it for the Pro-K to digest all the sample(tissue)??I was trying to get DNA band for moth.any website can help me in DNA extraction?thanks ..

I know only the CTAB that we use

Hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide ((C16H33)N(CH3)3Br).

Its added coz its a cationic surfactant and forms a buffer solution during the extraction of DNA
