Most people like entertainment because it takes one away from everyday problems. My entertainment is simply thinking. My favorite coffee in the morning is taking the time away from getting ready and just plain thinking. Does anyone else find it soothing or is it just me? And does anyone find it irritating when someone says "What are you thinking?" Maybe it is just me. Is it?

Contemplation and reflection are ,indeed, more satisfying than escaping from the world. Sometimes, though, this can lead me to becoming a little stressed about future events. This is when I may decide to seek some sort of diversion, ie. entertainment. And yes, I do become irritated when someone asks what I am thinking. Don't they have anything going in their own head to ponder?

oh i enjoy coffee but it doesnt give me any soothing i think, i just enjoy the taste.

Oh and ya i do find it irritating too. Sometimes i am thinking about something very personal in the car and my parents just suddenly ask me what are you thinking of. Then my thoughts just wash away

It's not just you. This world would be a much better place if more people would think more. Thinking can be fun and very entertaining .

Yes, i enjoy just doing nothing and thinking aswell sometimes...and it does feel soothing..so i know what you mean..and honestly, no one really asks me what im thinking....so i guess i cant really say if it would bother me.

Have a nice day. And really cool question by the way, i found it very interesting. =)

I love to think and yes it is relaxing. But remember the warning of Sherlock Holmes.."Every once in a while, a man must remove himself from the murderous litany of his own thoughts."

My mom always used to ask, "penny for your thoughts".
So then it used to drive me nuts, but now that she is gone, its kind of endearing and I have a different feeling and sometimes I even ask it. Full circle.
Enjoy your coffee/thinking.

No,it is not you alone:thinking things over or just sit and think makes your head brighter,at least for me.
Oh,people stopped asking me that question years ago.

I hate it when someone says: "penny for your thoughts." Just sometimes I don't want to share.
