I have a 2.2 air rifle and telescopic sight and some days i just sit at my window and pick off animals and birds for hours on end. My record one day was 13 birds, 3 rabits and even a fox. (i live in the country) The only reason i do this is for fun. I just burn the bodies or eat them sometimes. Is this ok or an unhealthy habit?

Hunting is fun, regardless of what these people think. Sure are doing some good shooting. I have a crosman quest .22 cal. spring air rifle. I just got it sighted in for around 38 yards. I'm trying to see how far away I can do it. The whole fox thing is hard to believe, but within parameters of what an air rifle .22 cal can do.

Email me and tell me about yours. I'm always ready to talk to a fellow air rifleman.

there are countless causes why human beings shoot animals. some kill for relaxing and are sick contained in the pinnacle. some kill because the inhabitants is intense, the beef is nice, and it is fit. intense, out of ballance populations isn't good for the ambience. some kill to regulate pest. some kill for the exhilaration, which may be relaxing, yet see you later because the animal isn't wasted, then i see no longer something incorrect. wild animals are fit than the stuff saran wrapped contained in the grocery shops. some animals won't be able to easily be offered, from what i understand; deer, squirrels, boar hogs, rabbit. merely understand this. a wild animal died living a contented existence. animals that are farm raised for nutrition stay crappy lives. once you purchase that saran wrapped meat contained in the food market, you're helping the huge breeding of animals merely to stay unhappy lives merely to be tortured even as slaughtered. searching with good shot placement ought to recommend one bullet that ended the satisfied existence of an animal that change into of intense inhabitants; a sparkling kill, no suffering. I guess hunted wild animals die with satisfied ideas of their heads. you won't be able to say that about farm raised animals.
