The basic causes for our weather are un-equal heating of the earth's surface (due to the inclination of its orbital plane) between the equator and the poles and the rotation of the earth on its axis. These two factors give rise to all the various weather phenomena which we observe from the movement of air masses and fronts to thunderstorms and tornadoes to tropical storms to jet streams and more.
