my mother is not really old. but she is not all there. she had a car accident that made her even more incompetent. she is very unstable. anyway, when she came here last, she opened the door to a room i asked her not to and she made a mess. then she left my front door open. i live in an urban enivironment. anyone could have walked in and i was sleeping in my bed. it is a locked community but people break in all the time, esp on weekends. also, my cats could have got out. on top of that, she wandered to the pool and rattled the gate and hollered at someone to unlock the gate, which is not something youre supposed to do here. i just think she is crazy. and i dont want her to stay in my home. i asked her not to come and to stay with other relatives, but she arranged to come anyhow. i know it is mean, but i dont want her to stay in my home. do you think im justified or blowing things out of proprtion. what can i say to make it so she can not stay here again?

to jk, so now its her turn to let my cats out and let mass murderers in my house? anyone advice from anyone with an aging parent who knows how this feels is appreciated.

My grandma had Alzheimers, and its tough when they do act a little out there sometimes. You said she had a car accident, is she still on medication, can you take her to the psychiatrist? I mean there must be something you can do before you decide to send her packing!

See thats the difference between animals and humans . We have feelings , relationships etc etc. See it is lucky to have somebody older than you still alive and be with you. They need not be of any help to you and they be a big pain for you to maintain but still mother is a mother somebody who brought you up from the infant stage till you are on your own and during that time she would have scolded you , scorned you etc etc but still mother is a mother. The divinity of love , the living god and why all this even today if something happens to you it is she who is going to feel the maximum. You can get a second wife , third and so on but can you get back a mother. I know the pain and burden and the shame you are undergoing due to the deeds of you mother but mind you man you are also going to pass the same age and if you are also detested by your children similarly what would happen to you. Next whats going to happen to the assets she has are you not going to inherit the same are you going refuse it NO because we are humans and we are greedy. Hope I have not been to harsh on you. Please bear with you mother its worth a bullion in life.
