Have you ever had friends behave differently towards you when...?

...you lose a lot of weight or change your appearance? I'm quite upset a friend I thought was a good friend has been really dismissive and avoiding me generally since I've lost almost 5 stone, It's been a really big deal for me, i've got fit after years of being overweight. I don't go on about it but she's never even commented on it, when I first started shifting weight she told me i shouldn't bother because "I have other things going for me" I also have had to buy a whole new load of clothes and i'm enjoying dressing more how I would like to dress rather than what just fits and covers me up, all she's ever does is make comments about how much money I spend on myself! I'm a bit pissed off about this now, I ignored it at first.

Sounds like your friend is best friends with the green-eyed monster, because why would she make comments like, "you have other things 'going for you!'"? Don't worry about what she thinks just concentrate on how great you feel, & how good you look!!! We can't expect other people to always be our support team, sometimes that comes from inside, just like the skinny person that was waiting to get out!!

wow she is so completly jealous. its like the jealousy is just oozing out of her skin!! so before you lost all the weight, did you used to follow her lead and command and then you lost it and now you dont have to anymore and she cant take the heat? realize who has the real problem first before you try to solve anything. she prolly is still a good friend, but you need to have her realize how she is putting her self off. tell her that you still love her and she doesnt need to get all insecure.

they are jealous be cause you must look great.Friends that don't make you feel good about yourself are not worth having.
