Here's my story. Took a hpt and it came out positive. I took it because I was experiencing a lot of pregnancy symptons except for vomiting, but I wasn't late on my period. Then I went to two places and got urine tests done. They showed up negative, granted that I still was not late. I was expecting my period on the first of Feb if I wasn't preg. I got it on the fourth but I'm still experiencing symptons. Hence the reason why I'm up at 5am because I'm starving and needed to eat something. I don't know what's going on with me. I've heard that you can get your period while being pregnant or I could be having a miscarriage or just a normal period. Right before I got my period I started cramping like I would for a normal period and it started out heavy but now its lightning up. I just need some insight. Please don't tell me to go to the DR.
One more thing, can whose had a miscarriage tell me what the bleeding was like?

A miscarriage gives you lots of PAIN and clotted blood, if you were miscarrying, I think that you would know.
If you still suspect pregnancy, take another test.

Chances are that you might be experiencing pregnancy sypmtoms just because you think you might be pregnant.

It's possible you had an miscarriage from a very early pregnancy. When the pregnancy hasn't gotten very far, the miscarriage will seem like a normal period but the cramps could be a little more intense. The bleeding may be a little heavier or last a little longer than normal. I suggest that you be seen by a physician because if you didn't pass all the baby you could get a serious infection. You may require a DNC where they scrape and clean your womb.

It is not unusual to have a period and exhibit the signs of pregnancy at the same time/ Impossible you say? Nope a fact. What is a possibility here is that the egg from last month is being shed. But meantime and just prior to your period you have sex. the next say your period starts and all breath a sigh of relief that you aren't pregnant. But a few days into it you get all the signs of pregnancy why? because you possibly are Sperm lives 72 hrs and travels a long way up the uterus bypassing the old egg and pops into the Fallopian tube and discovers another egg just entering from the fimbria. And so a penetration takes [lace in the tube. Go to a doctor and have a proper examination Tubal pregnancies are a reality and need special treatment.

It is probable that you lost the pregnancy very early on. About15 to 20 percent of known pregnancies end in miscarriage, and more than 80 percent of these losses happen before 12 weeks. This doesn't include situations in which you lose a fertilized egg before you get a positive pregnancy test. Studies have found that 30 to 50 percent of fertilized eggs are lost before a woman finds out she's pregnant, because they happen so early that she goes on to get her period about on time.
I'd suggest you do another test in a week or so.
