Due to the copy protection on the Xbox 360 there is currently no way to play hired games from the harddisk.

It is true, that you can buy and download games from Xbox Live Arcade or Demos from the Marketplace and store those on the HDD and play them.

However, you cannot rent a game on a disc, and hope to play it from the Harddisk. Thats not possible, and I doubt it will ever be.

On the original Xbox, the games could store some content on the HD for quicker access. This way, a Modchip could load a game off the HD without the game's disc.

Since all 360 games aren't supposed to use the Harddisc, it seems not possible.

Hire? I think he meant you can save game progress or download games into your hard drive. Like on xbox live or whatever.
