Firstly, please please please, never use the word "choon" ever again! It reminds me of that annoying cow Sara Cox (never before has a human voice made me want to throw the radio out of the window so much!) Secondly, how can one song define a whole decade? Maybe a year, yes, but not 10! However... songs that remind me of my 1990's.. EMF - Unbelievable (first band i was really into), Guru Josh - Infinity, The Shamen - Move Any Mountain, and 808 State vs Mc Tunes - The Only Rhyme That Bites (all classic dance stuff!), House Of Pain - Jump Around and Blur - Parklife (good times out drinking on a friday night with my mates), Green Day - Basket Case, Manic Street Preachers - Faster, Weezer - Buddy Holly, Offspring - Self Esteem, and Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun (all my introductions to alt.rock), Super Furry Animals - Ice Hockey Hair, Ultrasound - Stay Young, and Mansun - Being A Girl (all great live gigs!).... i could go on, but my brain is starting to hurt

There's so many to choose from, where to start?
Babies (Pulp), Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve) Girls and Boy (Blur), Wide open Space (Mansun), Firestarter (Prodigy), Can't get out of bed (Charlatans), Love your money (Daisy Chainsaw), Killing in the name of (Rage Against the Machine),Papua New Guinea (Future Sound of London), Higher than the Sun (Primal Scream), Little Fluffy Clouds (Orb), At the River (Groove Armada), I try (Macy Gray), Been caught stealing (Jane's Addiction) The Drowners (Suede), Teardrop (Massive Attack) Chasing a bee (Mercury Rev), Glory Box (Portishead), You get what you give (New Radicals), Heart Shaped Box (Nirvana), Nancy Boy (Portishead), Lose (Beck), Just (Radiohead) Last Goodbye (Jeff Buckley), Leave them all behind (Ride), Baby one more time (Britney Spears) Alright (Supergrass), Why does it always rain on me? (Travis), Buddy Holly (Weezer) Isobel (Bjork)
That's a lot more than you asked for, but i kind of got on a roll there, sorry. Fave would probably be Bittersweet Symphony; sick making i know, but it's 'our song' I know, pass the sickbag!

Common People by Pulp. In the days where the only thing I had to worry about was passing my GCSEs and all my friends thought I was mad when I got into indie and rock and left my Take That days behind me (until 2006!!!! Aged 25. Yes, I know I'm sad!!!!)

On a ragga tip by SL2.
Not much of a dance enthusiast myself yet this seems to encapsulate a moment of my life when I had no cares or worries and hadn't been bitten by the cynicism of 'real' life. Plus it sample Sugar spun sister by The Stone roses.
