I am not clear if you want the origin of 'almira' (your avatar name) or 'almirah'. If it is the latter, then it means a cupboard, wardrobe, or cabinet, with its origin traced to Hindi, an Indian language.
(The person who has answered before me has explained what 'almira' is, and maybe that's what you wanted to know!)

Almira is a girl's name, pronounced "al-meer-ah". It is of Arabic origin and its meaning is "princess". There you go.. :)
