I pass the time by reciting an alphabetical list of rude words over and over. Whichever one I am saying when my call is ( eventually ) taken is the one I will use during the conversation with the operator. I think it brightens both our day ;-)

while i was trying to register my new phone, i tried ringing orange twice. the first time i waited over an hour before hanging up, the second time i eventually got through after 40mns. don't ask my why i stayed on the line!!!!!!! (thankfully it was a free number)

Perhaps they do... At least you can get on hold (for however long). It's worse when you deal with companies that are always engaged. Just remember that saynoto0870.com site if their numbers aren't free!
