Get one of the discs and see if you like it. I don't think it's worth it, because it's the kind of show where you kind of have to watch every episode, and I don't want to be a slave to that. And I bet you could find a friend with the DVDS who would let you borrow them a disc at a time.

I had been hearing about it for a long time and then last summer I decided to watch some episodes and it's the kind of show that will surely get you more interested and you really have to see all the episodes, not because you might miss something extraordinarily important, but because you might miss out on the story, the back story also, not just what happens on the island... It's really a very interesting show that I can't compare with anything I've seen. So give it a try;)

This is a VERY good question. You can always up your Netflix DVD's per month. It is A LOT cheaper than actually buying it. I am actually thinking about joining NetFlix just because it is cheaper.
NetFlix is also going to allow for downloads via the internet (playable only a computer) by the end of the year.

Absolutely! It's a very "smart" show and gets you thinking. It has a lot of mystery, some mythology, suspense, literature references, and action. It's a great mixture and well worth the time (and space) to get caught up.

YES - I love the originality and the mystery of it. Whatever you do, don't jump into the episodes on TV. You will not get it. Start at ep. 1 and work your way through.

It is a drama type show...so if that's what you like, go for it! I tend to only rent TV shows that air on FOX. ABC, CBS, NBC...I never like their shows.
I've got Family Guy coming today. That show is hilarious!
