I am considering dressing my 4 yr old daughter as a fairy princess (unless ofcourse I get a better idea from answers.com!) for a fancy dress competition... The kids have to also say a poem or sing a song pertaining to the item tehy are dressed as. Can you suggest any ideas of what poem she can recite or which song she can sing which would be appropriate?

As she is dressing as a fairy,she should recite something magical,for eg:the morning time and the magic it does on us to make us fresh and happy for the long day!!!

What is a "fancy dress competition"?? Is it like a beauty pageant trying to be called something other than a beauty pageant? Fancy dress? Save Environment? Doesn't really seem to go together to me. Put her in something ruffly that you buy at the second hand store - and label it as recycled.

you chose a fairy princess as a costume for your 4 year old daughter,that could be nice.But, your daughter will be more presentable to the eye of the jurors if she will have the interesting words to address. I therefore recommended a song entitled" beauty and the beast" if she has a duet or "tomorrow" for solo.the later has the lyrics " The sun will come out tomorrow....there'll be sun....." that could be nice. i hope you like it.
