first of all how much would i get if i traded in my nintendo wii at GAME or wherever, and second, Wii or PS3?

Why do you want to trade in your Wii and then ask wether to get a Wii or PS3?
By all means: Keep your Wii. Save your money. Wait for a price drop with the PS3. The PS3 isn't exactly flying off the shelves, so after all the PS3 craze has settled, Sony will try to get as much market penetration as possible to push their BlueRay format.
Wait until a significant price drop. The PS3 has no games yet, that are worth buying and playing yet (however if you like to see old games like Ridge Racer with Xbox 360 quality graphics, go ahead and blow your cash...)

Gotta be PS3 as it has built in blue ray and is an all round entertainment system. You should get quite a bit for your wii I'd of thought but you'll have to take it around several game shops and see who gives you the best deal. The X-Box 360 is also a phenomenal system
