The sighting of an actual dragon (both eastern and western types ) are no credible, because people tend to see thigs that are not there, and can easily mistake something natualy fr something else tirely, like a formation being a statue of an Egytian God.
It all depends on the area you are, but mostly in th desert, thse mirrages hold no proof that dragons exists, because of the dry temperate air, the lack of water one has in the body which can interfere with the brain, and make you see things that you would swear were true, but turn out to be something entirely different.

In Christianity:Book of Job Chapter 41, there are references to a sea monster Leviathan, which has some dragon-like characteristics. In Revelation 12:3, an enormous red beast with seven heads is described, whose tail sweeps one third of the stars from heaven down to earth (held to be symbolic of the fall of the angels, though not commonly held among biblical scholars). In most translations, the word "dragon" is used to describe the beast, since in the original Greek the word used is drakon (δράκον).
Asia::Dragons are commonly symbols of good luck or health in some parts of Asia, and are also sometimes worshipped. Asian dragons are considered as mythical rulers of weather, specifically rain and water, and are usually depicted as the guardians of pearls.China, as well as in Japan and Korea, the Azure Dragon is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellation, representing spring, the element of Wood and the east. Chinese dragons are often shown with large pearls in their grasp, though some say that it is really the dragon's egg. The Chinese believed that the dragons lived underwater most of the time, and would sometimes offer rice as a gift to the dragons.
Where the original concept of a dragon came from is unknown, as there is no accepted scientific theory nor any evidence to support the past or present existence of dragons. While the concept of dragons may be true or false, the fact that dragons are a myth in so many places that had no contact with each other suggests that dragons are possibly extrapolations based upon some ordinary forms of creature coupled with common psychological tendencies amongst disparate groups of humanity.
Some believe that the dragon may have had a real-life counterpart from which the various legends arose — typically dinosaurs .

How past? Back to when man saw the last dinosaurs roam the land with giant land lizards later to kill them off during the urbanisation of Europe and Asia? Such heroic knights are well documented "dragon slayers".

Dragons and Unicorns are from another Realm , they may have walked our Realm in antiquity but we only have folk lore to go by. I personally deal with Dragons but in a meditative state not a personal one.. So yes credible but not in this Realm , Dimension or Plane however you wish to say it..

Let's look at this critically. Claims of the existance of dragons fail to prove themself on the basis of sufficiency.
-The burden of proof for any claim rests on the claimant. The absence of disconfirming evidence is not the same as the presence of confirming evidence.
-Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence, If you were to say that it rained today then I would believe you based on your report as raining is a common occurence. But stories of dragons on the other hand need more substantial evidence. What many claim to be dragon bones could very well be dinosaur bones or remains of several animals in the same place.
Evidence based upon authority and/or testimony is always inadequate for any paranormal claim. Even if people are telling what they sincerely believe to be the truth, It is always possible that they could be mistaken. Perception is a selective act, dependent upon belief context, expectation, emotional and biochemical states, and a host of other variables.
In short one can conlude that there is insufficient proof for the existance of dragons.

YES! If you think about it, apparently not many have, dragons have been EVERYWHERE throughout history. Almost every Native American tribe and all of Europe and Asia have accounts of dragons. The entire world has heard about them at some point, it's only fair to assume that the entire world could have seen them at some point.
