At the beginging why does the girl toss her glass and plate in tthe fire. She seams like she is celebrating but if she is happy why BREAK something? Doesn't this feel lik a waste of MONEY????

I know, she could have saved that plate and actually used it. I know in Greek weddings they break plates as a sign of luck, but it's gonna be an expensive way to get it!
