Why is the Libbie Press giving him a pass on this? Why isn't his career over like it would be for a Republican.

It is called a "free ride", just like the one klan leader and democrat Robert Byrd is on. Like the saying goes "birds of a feather flock together."

Biden's record indicates he is NOT a racist. His comments the other day got him in trouble because what he said hurt because it was true. The fact is, before Obama, none of the previous black candidates for president have been mainstream and credible. Other than Obama, Jesse Jackson is the most well-known. Yet he is a guy who is totally self-serving, cheated on his wife, has questionable business dealings, and does not speak in clear and standard English. Simply put, none of the others have fit in with mainstream society. Obama does, and that makes him non-threatening. It's sad that Biden's true words were distorted to appear as though he said something wrong.

Anyone who supports affirmative action and organization such as the NAACP, or NOW, is not only rascist but sexist also. This includes just about any Demonrat. How many potential voters are stupidly asking the question "isn't it time for a black or a woman President?"

That's a blatantly rascist/sexist question and only shows how shallow some people are. There's much more important things in politics than the gender or skin color of a candidate or their shallow beliefs about such.

The biggest racist Democrat was Strom Thurmond and he was still the biggest racist in office when he turned Republican. And, Jesse Helms was the second biggest racist ever in modern politics. And,his buddy Trent Lott and has taken his place as a very racist politician. You should do your research before you spew. If Byrd was so racist, he wouldn't be getting the black vote in his state. And, we all know he does.

Sen. Joe Biden is no racist! His comments were not racist. He called Obama "articulate, intelligent, and clean." Where's the fault in that? It sounds like an endorsement to me! Republicans look for any small, faint opening, then they say it's the size of the Grand Canyon by exploitation and division. There's a big difference. Biden apologized to Obama, and Obama accepted his apology. Since the matter has been settled man-to-man, it's settled in my mind, too.

He is a patronizing, backpeddaling jerk. And you're right, he gets a free pass for it. A Repub's career would have been over.

They are trying to figure out how to get him out of it. Some way they will, and will probably give him an award of some sort as well.
