Its my birthday today and im working. Any ideas on things I can do to spice the day up a bit and make it less like a normal day?

Meant to add, I cannot go out lunchtime as I dont get lunchbreaks - Complicated, but basically I changed my contract so that I come in early and work through my lunch hour so that I can leave early each night.
Was going to get cream cakes, but everyone is on a diet (boring) so I didnt bother. Any other ideas?

Buy the cream cakes any way and watch peoples principles crumble, or buy some weight watcher cakes from the supermarket if you are not as cruel as me, it will also give you ten minutes out the office for a birthday stroll.

Chill out - get people in the party mood, and, remember - next year you are going to book the day off.
I NEVER work on my birthday - it saves on buying cakes for the whole office, and it means I get to do what I want.

Ask some of your workmates to go out for a lunchtime drink with you, or buy some cakes and bring them in for all to enjoy with you.

Happy Birthday! Just do what I do and spin round and round in your chair singing songs to yourself... and buy a cake at lunch and have a little feast with your friends, that'd be nice! Have a good day!

Thats awful. You should quit! :-) Kiddin... Don't take such drastic measures. Just see if you can get off work early and go for drinks and dinner with family and friends you havent seen in a while and miss.

on your way to work get a tiara. Wear it all day because you are the birthday girl and you deserve it. Then get yourself one of those dollar muffins. Here in IL they are made by Otis Spunkmeyer and they are huge! That way you get your cake, eat it too, and don't have to share with all those on a diet! Happy birthday sweety!!! I worked all through mine but all my customers were coming in and giving me hugs all though the day (of course later on in the day I was stuck there because my car broke down and I was crying) hope yours is terrific!!!
