I am about to upgrade my graphics card. On the specification of my motherboard MSI kt6v LSR doesn't say anything about if it will take DDR graphics cards.
My question is, would a DDR graphics run on my motherboard?

Your motherboard has an AGP slot (accelerated graphics port), which means it will support any video card that can fit into an AGP slot. You needn't worry about compatibility, as long as it fits in the slot it will work.

Graphic Cards are Devices that have a GPU ( Graphics Processing Unit) Some support chips, Memory and interface to connect to the Mother board.

So which card is supported by your mother board depends on the Interface ( AGP or PCI-E).

No matter what kind of memory is present on the card if your mother board supports the interface your graphiv card will work.
