UNDER - referring to something between you and it, as in, it is covered.

BELOW - lower than ground level of where you are standing or can relate to underwater.

DOWN - to be level with the ground.

ABOVE - anywhere higher than head level and in any direction

UP - directly above head level

OVER - an up and down motion to travel from one place to another via a large mound.

Some of these words can be used to replace each other SOMETIMES. I'll give you some examples:

You could say that you are UNDER or BENEATH the blanket, but you would not say that you were BELOW the blanket.

"My brother is in the class "below me at school," could also be said "My brother is in the class under me at school."

Usually, though, "below" refers to position. If you were trying to find a line on a page, aperson might say, "No, below that line".
The opposite to BELOW is ABOVE. So, it might be "No, above that line."

Also, it can mean below someone in rank, in the Army for example.
The mouse can be under the chair, or beneath the chair.

"Down " is just the opposite of "up". Put it down, pick it up.

Down below is the opposite to up above.

You put a hat ON your head, you put an umbrella OVER your head.
The cat sits ON the fence, the bird flies OVER the fence.
