I've been thinking about component AV in particular as I have a HD TV, though any suggestions are welcome.

I also have a HDTV. You can try the RGB Scart Cable or the Component cable. Both will give you a sharper, clearer picture. However the resolution will stay the same. You will see more "jaggies" this way.

It's hard to say not knowing how you are hooked up now. If you go from a cable modulator to component video you will see a difference. If you are already using the composite or an S-video the difference will be minimal, not worth the cost of the cable.

no, new cables will not make the system output a resolution it was not designed to produce. The system simply was not designed to produce HD resolutions.

if you want HD games you will have to go with a 360 or PS3. (the wii is limited to 480)

yes game, game station comet etc sell then......

its an av to scart that you require. between £5-£15

Enjoy the better picture.

the ps2 cannot do hd, so componet will not work.

the ps3 will have the hdmi and therefore better piture ( 720 ).
