Between the two, whilst I'd say that Cheers was more middle aged and masculine, it still had more substance than Friends. What do you think?

Friends tended to be a sixsome ala Seinfeld. Basically a show about nothing.

Although both shows are funny, Cheers in a much better show than Friends.

i agree with you!
cheers has more of a higher level of humor.
they always have these intelligent jokes that make me laugh
of course, friends also makes me laugh, but cheers is definitely funnier and it's definitely for a more mature audience ^__^

Cheers (and it's older sibling Taxi) changed sitcoms forever. The characters were interesting and varied and the show had legs ( via Fraiser)
Friends was "I Love Lucy" redux. While wonderful, it was not original.

Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" I feel is quite a well written contemporary song that deals very much this issue. Also if she isn't happy with her body, especially because she has gained weight I suggest you help her lose that weight (if she is young she could just do some social dancing if she isn't big on organised exercise).

love both of it...but cheers is my all time favourite....friends is nice, but didnt think it captures the heart like cheers did!
