hi tourist,
this is an hard question but i think, teddy sheringham will retire one of the most sucessful england Striker...his now 40 and he started his carrer in millwall at the age of 16...but he still have stamina and is thin not fat
and cafu and maldini might retire cafu is turning 36 and maldini is turning 38

Zidane was 30 when he won the Champions League. Maldini was 38 or 39 when he last won the Champions League. Del Piero was 31. Totti was 29 I think when he won the World Cup. Raul is still playing. Etc etc. I don't know what you're talking about. The best teams are the ones with a mix of veteran experienced players and young players. Never just one or the other usually. The best players in late twenties are better than the best teenage players. No doubt about it.

I doubt Cafu and Maldini will retire this year, Maldini's contract is until 2008 and he hinself said that his goal is to play 1000 games for Milan....Cafu, god knows what they feed him...he's a living breathing football machine.
