I was thinking of starting a new singles website, but I cant do it myself. Also how much does it cost to maintain it and who do you pay??

$100 for a website of 5 pages (static - means no animation (flash, 3D, etc.)) is a good price though I would take a look at the portfolio before.

There are alot of people out there that can design websites, the cost varies, I know some people that will do it for a couple hundred and have seen it in the thousands, now I don't know if that includes the cost of maintaining it as well that would be something you would have to ask.

well, hiring someone usually depends on what you've agreed to with the person
you have to consider the person's rate, the degree of difficulty of the project, and how long the project will take to finish
in website maintenance, however, you will have to think about the ISProvider (internet provider) or server your website will be using.
also, you will have to pay for the website's ip address
plus, if you're not going to maintain it yourself, consider also how much hiring a person to maintain the website would cost

Good ...Here is the solution for you. it depends how many pages does your site will contain. what should be the look of our website...and do u need a website with a database i.e. dynamic website? or simple static website...
Static website costs very less but dynamic website costs more than static. it needs complex coding behind each webpage....
I have designed a static website of 5 page worh $120 with domain registration and webspace of 100MB.
