Both, but not entirely by choice. Where I work I am able to catch both.
The sun rises in the morning, fairly late about 9:30 am. The sky is awash of muted colors, not at all loud. Barely tinted pinks, soft purples and baby blues lightly fan across the sky. It is as though they are afraid to come boldly and wake the 'sleepers.' It's a good thing, though. The bears are not nice this time of year.
When the sun sets, it is a different story, the colors are brassy and loud, if not even angry at times. The sky is afire with brilliant reds, fiery oranges, dark purples and colors in between.

Sunset. I used to love watching the sun set when I was a kid. We had a cabin on the river and that was such a peaceful time of day. All the boats were docked and the water was smooth as glass. Mr. Bob, the neighbor had a swing near the water's edge that faced the sunset. I used to sit and watch. When times got tough it was comforting to see the peaceful beauty of the sun going down over the water.
We moved to Alabama 10 years ago, and I was going through a very difficult time. During the first 3-4 months in our rental house the kitchen would literally glow at sundown. Sometimes pink, sometimes orange, but always spectacular. I would go to the window or step onto the porch and stand in awe. It sounds silly if you haven't experienced it, but it felt like a hug from God. It gave me courage and hope.
Three years ago when we were trying to buy a house my youngest son and I prayed every night. We asked God for all kinds of things, but mostly that He would bring us to just the right house for us, and that we would know without a doubt: this is the house. My son saw it first. "This is it mom. I know it." I went to see it the next day and it took about 3 minutes for me to know it as well..so unmistakeably what we had prayed for.
I didn't catch the wink from God immediately, I'm slow sometimes, but when it hit me I laughed. Our house is on Sunset Boulevard. All the streets around us are similar: Sunset Circle, Sunset Trail, Sunset Drive, etc. God is funny. I love him so.

Definitely a sunrise person.

I have my own little spot where I sit here in the mornings. My whole back wall is nothing but windows. I sit hight on a hill so watching the sun come up over the tree line is simply the most magnificent sight you'll ever see!

I take that back...... watching it rise over the ocean is pretty darn amazing. When I'm at the beach, I love waking early and taking a walk all by myself. I'm listening to music and watching the sun slowly peek out of its hiding place causing the sky to turn into such pinks and purples until it finally bursts forth with a blaze of glory. :)

Yep..... I'm definitely a sunrise person!! I love the whole idea of a new beginning. :)

Sunset, definitely. I live five floors up, and it's just enough to catch the silhouettes of the city in front of the purples, reds and oranges of a really good sunset. It's stunning.
