ok, my pc is amd athlon xp 2600 1.91ghz 480mb of ram. i currently have a 80gb st 3800234, and a slave 40gb maxtor 5t040h4, video card via/s3g km400/kn400

i want to know what is best way to format my system so i can install windows at the correct disk ,so my counter strike game will stop freezing. also i have about 9gb of music, can someone give me some advise on this.

you can format your system after booting from windows installation disk

Transfer all your data onto the 40 GB Hard Disk. Install windows XP into the 80 GB Hard Disk using a Single Partition.

Once XP is install compress the 40 GB Hard Disk by right clicking it so that you can save more files on the 40 GB Hard Disk.

Reg you 9 GB of Music, if you have a DVD writer write it on 2 DVD's. If you dont have one go and buy once since you are getting good DVD writers for around 2000 INR.

copy all your document to Slave Drive and after that restart the PC with XP OS in CD-ROM boot the CD than you have following the instruction once you reach the screen which is show you the tow H.D you have to chose main Partition and Format it
