development removes forested and prairie areas, covers them with concrete and asphalt, uses fossil fuels to heat and cool, as well as allow fossil fuels to operate cars and trucks, and other heavy equipment and add pollution to the atmosphere which erodes the ability of the earth to be cooled by natural growth of plant and animal life and forces additional heat intothe environment causing additional global warming. while a small house does not cause much damage, the cumulative affect is horrendously large.
