Yes. Sometimes I get excited and answer the question first and then go and read other answers and find someone has said something similar. But usually I scan the other answers and if others have said the same things I wanted to say then I don't usually answer or will try to think of something else to say. It bugs me in the sense that I don't copy other people and don't want people to think I do. After I read the question I always know the gist of what I want to say and then I hit "answer this question".

That happens to me quite a bit. Because, I don't read other people's responses. I usually select only interesting and intelligent questions to answer. And most of the time, I'm the very first one to answer to a new one. But when I go to post, somebody almost always beat me to it. So the originality of my answer becomes compromised. Especially if you are about the 5th or 7th answerer.
And I try to give the most direct, honest and well researched and logical answer. However, what irks me the most is that the asker doesn't bother to choose the best answer. And if they do; they usually based it on humor . All my best efforts down the drain! The best answer should be chosen based on its merits.
Interesting question and legitimate beef.

Nope. You gotta believe that your answer is better than the persons above. If youre answering the questions to get best answer then you have to make sure that if youre going to say the same thing as someone else, you have to go the extra mile and saying something better or give more specific information. I just like helping people though, it doesnt really bother me much at all.

It happens often. As I write this someone is probably writing the same thing. And they will post their answer just before I post mine...oh well...It just becomes another 2 points, instead of a good answer.

Not really. But it does bug me when I take the time to think and write a good answer, and the asker votes some moron's answer "best answer" for some reason I can't fathom.
