You probably have to take the inside panel off and set the track back in place and see what may have caused it in the first place. It may need a little oiling up on some of the movable parts.

as in stuck you mean it will not operate at all? is it getting power? is the window motor operating? has something gotten in the regulator? The power window of most cars consists of three basic parts besides the moving glass. the window switch, the window regulator, and a motor that drives the regulator. Can u hear the motor when you depress the switch? power comes to the switch from the fuse panel, then to the motor from the switch. Check the fuse panel first for blown fuses. If it is not the fuse then it could be either the regulator, which is commonly made of plastic and wears out rather often, or the other likely candidate the power window motor. If you can't hear the motor trying to engage when you press the button then it is probably not the motor but the regulator. In order to get the window up you will have to replace the defective part or take the door panel off and remove the two screws holding the window to the regulator. then you can push the window up but it will not stay up unless held up by something like tape or by putting something inside the door under the glass. I do not recommend either because the glass is tempered and will NOT crack. It is designed to shatterer into small pieces as is all glass in automobiles besides the windshield as a safety precaution since the 1960's. Sometimes the motor just gets stuck so you may try putting a hand on either side of the glass and gently pulling upward while someone else presses the button. This however rarely works and ultimately you will be replacing something anyway.

The BMW 318is - Sporty yet low-value. I definitely have owned my BMW 318is for around a month now, and going from a Renault Clio a million.2 i'm looking the ameliorations somewhat huge. overall performance the motor vehicle pulls ok, i'm particular it feels gutless in easy of larger fashions such simply by fact the 325i or 328i, yet for a heavy set a million.8 i've got self assurance it has some flow in it! The M42 engine runs easily, makes use of a lifelike ammount of gasoline (Icontinual 37 miles consistent with day and use only 5 pounds of gasoline) And it is not overly noisy and revvy. The M42 is the main important of the 4 cylinder engines positioned into the three sequence.

When you push the button for the window do you hear anything. Most of the time it's just a window regulator - made of plastic. Check fuses first. If you need to get the window up have someone hold the switch in the "up" position & someone else hold the window & push it up. We may have to wedge something in between the window & door panel to hold the window in place until you can get it to a repair shop.
Depending on the year - it should run around $200.00 for front & $250.00 for rear. (parts & labor)
