no, it would be chaotic another Hitler in the making killing all non Muslims. It's like putting the terrorist in its highest power where the weapons of man's destruction are.I'm not saying that all Muslims are bad but Americans would never accept it. Especially with the 9/11 bombing.

It won't happen in the foreseeable future. It's like in 1948 when Thomas Dewey ran against Truman for president. Problem is Dewey lost millions of votes because he was perceived as having a "Hitler moustache". Image is important, even more so than rationale. The image of the US having an Islamic president is unimagineable and very, very unlikely.

As I said in the "gender" question--it would depend on the candidate. If an exceptional candidate happened to be a Muslim, then I have no problem with it. Honestly. Muslims have become the new boogeyman for some people around here.

HELL NO

Sorry - I'll take a Mormon or a Zoroastrian, even a Wiccan or (*GASP*) an atheist. But anyone who belongs to a 'faith' which has *chosen* to make itself an agency for the violent conquest and enslavement of the entire planet, cannot possibly be allowed to govern a nation committed to freedom and equality. Unless or until the Muslim community abandons its attitude of violent hatred and superiority, none of them can be trusted.

No! Being Muslim is a lifestyle. You have to pray five times a day facing the city of Meca! Amongst many other things.

Not as long as they are running car bombs into crowds and killing our solidiers... and i know its not all muslims, but those actions done in the name of religion, make it look like their religion justifies it... But as long as we can blame muslim extremist for most of our terroism threats, its not gonna happen.... sooooo

My personal vote is no also! But at the same time I wouldn't want an atheist leader... I like having a Christian leader, but i just think Bush is a puppet not an example of what Christian leaders should be, but its sucks that that is what the world see's and it makes us look overly judgemental and ignorant to to the world!!! so sad!!!

The secret service would be confused.
Are they there to protect the president from the people,
