is a 1,6 core 2 duo better than 1.73 core duo?

a core 2 duo has 2 processor cores running together..as a duo, a core duo acts like it has 2 processors because it has one fast one.. it handles data better. The core 2 duo is basically the same with double processing power (almost, notice the GHz) but for the future, don't measure processors in GHz, it's not very accurate now that we have processors that work in different ways, amounts and twice or 4 times at the same time..depending on how many cores there are.

It's simple, really. The clock speed (1.6 vs. 1.73) doesn't matter. The Core 2 is entirely faster than the Core 1 in most ways.

Yes, way better! Its like saying is the skinny Playstation 1 better than the bigger Playstation 2? Of course #2 is better!
